Check out the Czech versions of Maxim and FHM.FHM sells for a couple of dollars, but Maxim is $5 and had a huge marketing campaign plastered all over the place and I was curious what the fuss was about.
Maxim here moved to the A3 format, compared to the old A4 (standard 8 x 11) of other magazines You can see the difference when you put the two together. It's big...like reading a copy of the Toronto Sun except in full, glossy colour. I'm guessing they made it this big for the more senior readers.
The best part is the nudity. They have no qualms about showing breasts in Europe. If you ever read any of the North American versions of these mags, you may have wondered whether there were nude photos from some of the shoots because the published ones leaned awfully close to exposure.
The answer: yes there are, and they publish them in the European versions.
