
Spoiled by the Autobahn and much higher speed limits, Europeans are amazed how slow us North Americans are. In Czech Republic, sections of the highway top out at 130 km/hr, but many people drive well above with impunity. As you can see in the picture above, my friend is driving at 170+ km/hr, and that's his normal speed.
Not a superfast race car either, but a small, 96 hp hatchback with a solid frame and low wind drag. When we enter the city and must drop to 80 km/hr, it feels like a snails pace.
